  • Responsibilities at KPI

    Derrick has extensive experience in managing projects from inception to completion. His expertise spans a variety of industries and solutions from small projects for local SMB’s up to multi-million dollar projects for Fortune 500 companies. At KPI Digital he manages all areas critical to a successful customer project including:

    Budgets: Working with customers, defining the budget, scoping and deliverables. Then, with the aid of proven project tracking tools and practices, he manages the ongoing progress against plan.

    Resources: Derrick manages a team of experienced BI professionals and ensures that the appropriate resources are assigned to each project.

    Scheduling: Derrick is responsible for coordinating all tasks and schedules to ensure the team can accomplish those tasks on time and in the prescribed time.

    Communications: Derrick ensures effective and ongoing communication to review progress and realign tasks and goals for every project. He manages the status reporting that is required and different for each stakeholder including daily and weekly task assignments and reviews to technical resources, to executive status reports for the c-level executives.

    Value to customers

    Derrick has over 30 years of experience in IT, ERP and BI projects that deliver value to customers on time and on budget. He brings that experience to each KPI Digital project where he can help customers by not only ensuring their project delivers value for them but he also works with them on their processes, practices and internal resources. Derrick also manages KPI Digital Support Services offering which includes:

    • Working with customers on communications and procedures related to issue reporting and resolution
    • Configuring infrastructure and tools for the planned support requirements
    • Coordinating resources availability to provide support during both regular business hours and if required, non-business hours

    Examples

    Derrick has provided implementation strategies to customers such as DeSerres, Quincaillerie Richelieu and established and manages a 24/7 customer support offering to Dick’s Lumber, a division of Rona. In addition he manages KPI Digital service offerings such as Health Assessments.

    Prior to KPI Digital Derrick ran projects for companies like Electrolux North America, Wolverine World Wide Inc, Aerosoles, Beyond the Rack, Hybris, Blinds to Go Inc., Phillip Van Huesen, and Praxair to name a few.
